OptQC Selected as 2026 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum
OptQC Corp. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Kan Takase; hereinafter "OptQC"), a developer of optical quantum computers, has been selected as a 2026 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.
The Technology Pioneers program selects 100 of the world's most promising early-stage companies with the potential to fundamentally transform existing industries and address critical global issues.
OptQC's optical quantum computer — which operates at room temperature and ambient pressure without the need for large-scale cooling equipment, and features exceptional scalability — represents a unique and proprietary technology. As quantum technologies draw increasing attention as a key to solving global challenges such as climate change, energy, and drug discovery, OptQC has been recognized by the Forum as a company with the potential to drive significant impact on business and society.
Going forward, as a member of the Forum, OptQC will collaborate with global leaders from both the public and private sectors to advance the practical implementation of optical quantum computers and work toward solving social challenges, including those in the energy sector.
