OptQC Raises 1.5 Billion Yen in Series A1 Funding

OptQC has completed a Series A1 funding round, raising a total of 1.5 billion yen.
Together with the seed round conducted in January 2025 (650 million yen), the company’s total funding has reached 2.15 billion yen.

The newly raised funds will be primarily allocated to the development of a 10,000-mode optical quantum computer, a project adopted in July 2025 under NEDO’s “Post-5G Information and Communication Systems” program.

Looking ahead to 2026, OptQC plans to launch a Series A2 round with a target of approximately 10 billion yen to accelerate research and development of a new optical quantum processor.
